Overview of the MIFARE Classic® EV1 1k

MIFARE Classic® EV1 1k features excellent ESD robustness and True Random Number Generator and Random ID support for the 7 Byte UID version. The MIFARE Classic® cards operate at 13.56MHz and offer a typical read/write range of 10cm (4 inches). The MIFARE® Classic EV1 is also commonly known as MIFARE® Standard.

MIFARE Classic® EV1 is fully compliant with ISO/IEC 1443 Type A and is available with 1K Byte memory. 

The MIFARE® Classic EV1 1k contains a Unique Identifier (UID) that some refer to as the Card Serial Number. This can be configured as a 4 Byte UID or a 7 Byte UID. The most popular (by far!) is the 4 Byte UID which is compatible with most installers.

The 1k refers to the 1 kilobyte of memory on the card, with plenty of space for storing all forms of data. The MIFARE Classic® EV1 1k is ITSO Accredited, meaning it meets all the standards for interoperability and security. Additionally, the card is ISO 14443A compliant, so you can use it with any ISO 14443A reader.

And because there's no battery required, you can use the card for contactless data transmission. Plus, with a fast data transfer rate of 106kbit/s, you can be sure that your data will be transferred quickly and efficiently.

The typical ticketing transaction time for the card is under 100 milliseconds, which includes backup management.
