HID® OMNIKEY® 5422 Dual Interface Reader

The HID® OMNIKEY® 5422 is the latest dual interface reader from HID®. It represents an impressive combination of contact & contactless technology in one single device. With the ability to read/write 13.56MHz contactless cards and almost any contact smart card, this product is the ideal reader for environments where both contact and contactless smart cards are required.

It is CCID compliant, eliminating the need to install drivers and is suitable for use with standard PC workstations as well as thin and zero clients. The HID® OMNIKEY® 5422 can be used with a variety of applications, is compliant with ISO 14443 A/B & ISO 7816 standards and is compatible with virtually any major operating system.

The HID® OMNIKEY® 5422 provides its users with security, speed and convenience for applications such as user authentication to PCs, software, cloud applications and networks. This reader also supports leading high-frequency card technologies including iCLASS®, MIFARE® and MIFARE DESFire®. Additionally, it is integrated and tested with HID Global's ActivID® ActivClient and ActivID® applets.
